Seychelles Weather Through the Year 

Springtime in Seychelles (March-May)

Between March and May, Seychelles enjoys warm days up to 30°C and nights around 25°C. Visitors may encounter occasional showers in April, while May brings drier weather and calm seas, perfect for outdoor and water activities.

• March: International Deep-Sea Fishing Competition takes place in Mahe.

Visiting Seychelles in Winter (June-August)

The islands experience drier, slightly cooler conditions with noticeably lower humidity, creating comfortable weather for travellers. By August, temperatures gradually rise as the dry season transitions into the wetter months.

Summer Festivals in Seychelles

• June: Seychelles’ National Holiday in Victoria features musical and cultural events across the island. Mahe also hosts a classical music festival, with performances in scenic spots such as Beau Vallon Bay.

• August: The islands are home to the annual Sailing Regatta, which includes competitions such as Miss Regatta. La Digue also celebrates the Feast of the Assumption in August with church services, processions and community festivities that attract both residents and visitors.

Seychelles During Autumn (September-November)

Air temperatures rise in September, reaching the peak for the season. Sea temperatures remain warm, around 27°C. Dry conditions continue through September, but October brings occasional short showers. By November, rainfall gets heavier, and humidity rises to about 80-90%.

• September: The Culinary and Arts Fiesta on the beaches of Praslin features cooking events, art exhibitions, traditional music and dance and a marathon for participants. The Windsurfing Race and the Seychelles Round Table Regatta in Mahé bring sporting excitement across the islands.

• October: The Festival Kreol celebrates Creole culture with music, dance, theatre, and art exhibitions. October also hosts the IGFA Fishing Tournament and the Seychelles Ocean Festival, featuring underwater videography and photography.

• November: The Offshore Fishing Competition around La Digue selects the top deep-sea fishermen across multiple categories.

Winter Season in Seychelles (December-February)

These months are considered winter, but Seychelles remains warm and humid. During the day, the temperature reaches about 27° C, and at night it drops slightly to 24°- 25° C. December is the warmest month, and January has similar rainfall but slightly lower temperatures. February sees a reduction in rainfall, which means a more pleasant environment for travelling and outdoor pursuits.
